Officially dubbed the “Ambassador of Aloha” by ESPN, Kekoa Cazimero has always followed a path less traveled by most modern day professional surfers. Born and raised in Waimanalo on the South East side of Oahu, the charismatic Prince of Sandy Beach checked that box early on.
After winning multiple state titles, a national title, and graduating valedictorian of his high school class, Kekoa opted to pursue his education first rather than immediately slugging it out on the World Qualifying Series. Kekoa’s homebreaks are Sandy Beach and Ala Moana Bowls, but when Pipeline or Sunset Beach are on fire you can find him mixing it up on the North Shore with the world’s best. Ohana is very important to Kekoa, and he gives thanks to Akua (God) for all that he has been blessed with.
Kekoa is currently focused on pursuing a regional tour title while making a strong run at qualifying for the Championship Tour. He stays humble and driven, and trains at Tactical Strength and Conditioning four to five days a week to elevate his surfing and prevent injury. Kekoa’s passion for surfing and pushing himself in the ocean is infectious, and he loves sharing that passion with the next generation.
